Back to School....

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving break! I know I did, and I even had a few good Transcendental moments as well over my break. Keep in mind the more people post on the blog, the more we have to discuss at each week's meeting, so keep checking regularly and get in the habit of posting frequently!

First off, I do have Into the Wild on DVD if we choose to watch it sometime soon. As Mr. Mahoney said in class we can also try and watch it in the PAC at some point.

For my "Transcendental Moments" over break, I spent several days at my house in New Hampshire and on Thanksgiving I got the chance to go skiing. Upon reaching the top of the chair lift for the first run i just looked out to the horizon and the clear sky and just took in the air around me, completely filling me with a sense of total happiness and wonder for the view of the world around me. Needless to say I was pretty much awe struck. I even had a small moment driving home when I looked up at the sky for a moment and saw the sun appear on the edge of the clouds that had been above me the whole drive, and for some reason I was captivated by the blue sky and sunlight breaking off from the edge of the clouds. It was pretty amazing to see and I even exclaimed it out loud to myself.

Internet Censorship Bill Threatens Free Speech, Rule of Law

I think everyone should read this and maybe we could discuss it next time we meet. Internet Censorship Bill Threatens Free Speech, Rule of Law. I know the internet isn't the most transcendental topic, but this was just unanimously passed and I think it extremely limits our freedom of expression.
